Classic of the Week (2/7/11) – The Beginning of Time – dj-Nate

Long ago, from the nether regions of the newgrounds audio portal, this absolute masterpiece emerged, forged by the skilled and completely unknown craftsman dj-Nate. From “the beginning of time”, if I may be so bold, it has been a standby for every occasion in need of a little trancey hands-up piano blast.
Although not necessarily a classic in the traditional sense – being neither particularly old nor by anyone famous or noteworthy – this gem deserves no lesser accolades, for its outstanding beat and undeniablely catchy rhythm instantly distinguishes it as a top-notch track. It has long had a place in our collection and no lover of electronic music should be without it.

Song of The Day (2/7/11) – Avicii – Electric Masturbation

Yeah this is actually what this song is called. No joke. It’s well worth the name as well.

Song of The Day (2/6/11) – Flo Rida feat. Akon – Who Dat Girl (Hardwell Remix)

Here’s Hardwell’s new one. Blows the original out of the water by a helluva lot. Turn it all the way up.

Song of The Day (2/5/11) – Hardwell & Chuckie – Move it To The Drum (Tech Mix)

Tomorrow’s song will be a new remix from Hardwell so we figured now would be as good a time as any to post an older song of his that we never got around to posting for whatever reason. Enjoy, and check back to check out his new stuff tomorrow.

Damn girl, I like the way you move it to the drum.

Song of The Day (2/4/11) – Kaskade & Tiesto feat. Haley – Only You (Dragon & Jontron remix)

Here’s the new one from Tiesto and Kaskade feat. Haley – “Only You,” with a filthy remix by Dragon and Jontron. If you’re looking for a more trancy version just click here for the original, which has more of that Kaskade sound to it than this remix. Both are amazing.

Video of the Week (2/3/2011) – Japanese McDonalds

Sometimes I wish I lived in another country just because their commercials are so much better than ours. This is one of those times.

Song of The Day (2/3/11) – Muse – Resistance (Feed Me remix)

Yesterday was our biggest day ever, with more than 50 of you checking out the site. Thank you for your continued support.

On an unrelated note its been a couple of weeks since Feed Me was on our site, and frankly we were starting to miss the guy hanging around on our front page. This posed a problem as most of you have heard all of his stuff at this point. So we dug deep, sunk our teeth into about a hundred youtube related videos and finally found something you probably haven’t heard. It’s his remix of Muse’s Resistance, which we overlooked back when it came out probably due to our obsession with Tiesto’s remix and the fact that site wasn’t even set up in 2009. We’d just like to go ahead and say that we think this blows Tiesto’s remix out of the water, but you decide for yourself. Comment, rate, subscribe etc.

Song of The Day (2/2/11) – Ray & Anita – In Da Name of Love (R3hab Remix)

Another fantastic remix from R3hab. Definitely an artist to watch in the coming year.

Song of The Day (2/1/11) – Starchaser Feat Nachang Nancy – So Good (Calverton Remix)

February can be a pretty awful month. There’s valentines day, its cold, and there is never too much going on. No fear, Tulip Hill Gang will keep the tunes coming and get you through to march and the springtime.

Song of The Day (1/31/11) – Calverton & Qualver – Raw 2 Da Floor (Lazy Rich Remix)

Let’s finish the month off right shall we? It’s been the biggest in our history, with more than 600 viewers taking a peek at all the new music love we’re throwing out there. Keep spreading the word and we’ll keep providing the beats daily. Here’s lazy rich’s most recent remix. Absolutely monsterous. Enjoy.

Classic of The Week (1/31/11) – The Prodigy – Narayan

The Prodigy are best known for their songs “Smack My Bitch Up” and “Breathe.” Most recently there have been remixes of their songs by a plethora of different new drum and bass and dubstep artists. But let’s rewind to 1997 for a second and take a listen to their song “Narayan.” One of the less heralded tracks on what is undoubtedly one of the best dance albums of the last two decades, “Fat of The Land,” “Narayan” is a track that was more than 10 years ahead of it’s time. Enjoy the genius of it all, listen to the rest of “Fat of The Land” if you have the chance and show love to a group that paved the way for a lot of the music we love today.

Song of The Day (1/30/11) – Moguai – Optinuum

The new one from Moguai. He’s on a roll lately.

Song of The Day (1/29/11) – Pokecenter Techno Remix

Instant classic. If you don’t like this one you didn’t have a childhood.

Song of The Day (1/28/11) Daft Punk – Derezzed (Ryan Riback’s Tron Guy Remix)

We had some of the best remixes of this song on the site when it first came out close to two months ago. This is by far the best to date. We wouldn’t bring it to you if it wasn’t absolutely essential to hear.

Song of The Day (1/27/11) – AUtOdiDakT & Electro Ferris – Chainsaw (The Mastertrons Remix)

Heavy-ass electro.

Video of the Week – (1/27/11)

Our good and amusing friends over at explosm.net have just come out with a new video short.
“But THG, last weeks video was by the same people, you couldn’t find anything else?”
Could have, but not ‘should’ have, as you will soon discover.
Enjoy.

Song of The Day (1/26/11) – Peruz vs. Matteo Sala & Takeshy Kurosawa – Electro Spin (Takeshy Kurosawa Remix)

Straight funky.

Song of The Day (1/25/11) – Nelly – Just A Dream (Braincreator sexy remix)

Well let’s keep the hands up theme going for one last day. If you’re enjoying these last two songs definitely take the time to check out our streaming radio section and hit the “technobase” link.

Song of The Day (1/24/11) – Stromae- Alors On Danse (Dan Winter Bootleg)

It’s been a while since we’ve had a hands up song on here. Here’s one for you.

Song of The Day (1/23/11) – Benny Benassi – Cinema (Skrillex Remix)

Yeah if the title of the post doesn’t excite you, you’re either dead (but somehow on the internet?) or have no idea whats going on in the dance/dubstep/electro world. If you’re the latter its okay. Get clued in.

Track is unreleased by the way, go buy it when it comes out.
And as always rate and subscribe to us at the bottom right.
